Joe Biden is officially nothing. He serves no purpose unless giving mold a warm, stationary place to grow can be considered useful. But he is still (technically) the potted plant in Chief, fed, watered, and occasionally set in the sun. And desperate for attention (that's Jill, I suspect) and while Obama may have scared her into giving up her FLOTUS gig (Four More Years!), she'll be damned if her legacy - I mean Joe's - is going out without some style. Sorry Jill, but Joe's legacy is ruined (and future historians- even the progressive ones - will have unkind words for you), but let's not tell her because she or some inner circle stooge fed a turd to Joe's teleprompter the other day, which he read with the enthusiasm for which he is now known.
Before stumbling off into the sunset, Joe’s going to reform the Highest Court in the Land.
Whoever wrote the prompter words or the plan itself must know that Joe has no constitutional authority over the US Supreme Court. He gets to nominate them. He can choose to ignore them, but he can't tell them how to run their separate but equal branch. It's a lot like how Joe thought he could make you pay for all that student debt the government laundered as overpriced tuitions into the pockets of White Tower Liberals but with several more layers of sorry, buttercup. It's not happening.
And if they were capable of being honest, they’d admit that’s not even the point.
Much like the promised student loan forgiveness, the SCOTUS reboot is total bullsh!t, and everyone but the Democrats he's trying to get excited about turning out in November should know this. Student loans were a GOTV move, a total lie, and the SCOTUS reboot is no different. And while Joe could have asked Congress to legislate the loan forgiveness (at the cost of who knows how many House and Senate seats), he can't even ask them to pass a law to address 'his' plan for the High Court. They don't have the Constitutional authority either.
Article III only lets Congress dabble in the “inferior courts.” Not the Supreme Court. In this lawyer’s humble opinion, Biden’s proposals would require a Constitutional Amendment. Any laws passed by Congress (Article II) would be reviewed by the Supreme Court (Article III), which would probably strike them down as an unconstitutional violation of the separation of powers.
We should expect more of this. Plans with no hope beyond exciting idiots undereducated by Democrats so they'd fall for it. Kamala will embrace whatever they are and promise to carry Joe's legacy into a new forward future, filled with more inflation, crime, illegals, and boy-girls raping real girls in their restrooms and locker room (they may leave those trailing details out of the glossy mailers).
Or maybe Russia will put us all out of our misery and start that nuclear winter we've been hearing about for the past 70 years because Joe and NATO, mostly Joe, have so much dirt to hide in Ukraine they’d burn the world. But that would put an end to the planned bird flu pandemic.
