This is not my typical commentary, and I promise not to use this space for anything like this unless a similar, unique opportunity arises (never say never, they say).
Someone has offered to 100% match donations to Grok Meda LLC and GraniteGrok.com, which is my LLC, and in part how I manage to feed my family.
It is a limited-time offer, but as operations are underfunded for 2025 and have not even begun to fund operating costs for 2026, this could help get us there from here.
Grok Media and GraniteGrok.com are not beholden to any private or political advertiser, and we do not withhold stories to protect access to politicians. We will not answer to any person or political party and instead filter our content through the US Constitution, the founding, Natural rights, (the NH State Constitution), and the protection of ordered individual liberty.
Our woodshed is bipartisan, and this can make it challenging to raise funds - we piss a lot of people off, but for all the right reasons.
At least 70% of our revenue generation has to come from donors. We do very little advertising to save readers from pop-up abuse and eye strain. The downside is we need to beg for money a lot more often, and I’m bad at that.
I don’t like doing it, but I have no choice, and this is the first time in my fifteen years with the ‘Grok that we’ve had an offer to match donations.
If you can give $5, it becomes $10.
$50 turns into $100
$500 results in a matching donation.
Larger or smaller sums all get matched.
The effort is running until at least Monday, with a potential to run longer (we hope), but it is not an endless or bottomless offer.
