New Hampshire Governor (Chris Sununu) is not running for re-election, and the Democrats want very badly to win the now-open seat. Democrats don’t like primaries. They prefer to anoint a candidate. And no, it wouldn’t matter which one won the primary; these are Democrats. They are the same bad ideas wrapped in different-looking skin, making the primary entertaining.
Two progressive wackos with the same failed policies who will need to pretend to be moderate after months of trying to “out-liberal” each other to win Democrat primary votes. Since that’s not possible (the out-liberal-ing), the next best thing is to have surrogates attack the candidates or to look the other way when they do, and we’ve got ourselves a real winner.
The Who
On one side, we’ve got Democrat Joyce Craig. Joyce was the mayor of the State’s largest city for multiple two-year terms, just long enough to ruin the place. The other Democrat is Cinde Warmington. Cinde is a lawyer currently on the State’s elected five-member Executive Council (they share fiscal and appointment power with the governor). In an earlier life, and this is where the fun begins, Cinde was a lobbyist for Purdue Pharma. Yes, them.
In her capacity as a lobbyist, Warmington said nice things about Oxycontin that someone supporting the Craig campaign has decided made Cinde an awful person and unfit for higher office. Pro-Tip: There are no Democrats fit for higher office. Oxy, of course, was peddled as safe and effective with minimal side effects. Purdue lobbyist Cinde is quoted as calling it a wonder drug.
As in, I wonder when this is coming back to bite me in my liberal lobbyist ass.
Chomp!
The activist launched her smear on Social media, which coincidentally looks a lot like anti-semitism. The Sackler Family (Perdue Pharma) is Jewish, and her source wasn’t all that fond of Jews. Neither was the activist, I guess because she’s not an idiot (she is known in political circles) and thought it was acceptable to share it. It created significantly more attention, which inspired the Warmington Campaign to respond.
“Cinde’s own father struggled with substance use disorder, which is why she has spent decades advocating for expanded access to treatment for families facing addiction. This effort to smear Cinde Warmington with a 22-year-old attack organized by Joyce Craig’s allies disgracefully exploits the pain of New Hampshire families struggling with substance use disorder and shamelessly parrots Kelly Ayotte’s attacks for Craig’s own political gain,” said Miles Cunning, Warmington campaign communications director.
Speaking of exploitation, why is it that New Hampshire families are struggling with substance use disorders? Democrats, of course. Democrats endorsed and supported by Warmington, Craig, and millions of registered D’s across the increasingly fruitless plain. A struggle that began with DACA and the Obama open-borders amnesty love affair that led to millions of illegals, including drug gangs, and lots of drugs pouring into the country.
New Hampshire was hit hard, but any objection to the influx was labeled xenophobic, racist. At the same time, Democrats used the “opioid crisis” they created as an excuse to spend other people’s money to grow the government. A problem Donald Trump had begun to fix when Biden and Harris not only erased the border but helped ferry them into the country. A deliberate policy choice that leads to opioid abuse, addiction, suffering, and death.
[A]ll of America, has been hard hit by an opioid crisis perpetrated by the border policies of two Democrat Presidents whom Warmington, Craig, Prince, and most nearly every other Democrcrat have praised. Policy they defend to this day. Advocacy that allows opioids to pour into the state and nation, killing kids and destroying lives.
I suppose the solution to that is expanded access to treatment. Don’t stop the drugs. Don’t enforce the law. Take money from hard-working Granite Staters to backstop government-mismanaged bureaucracies that get fatter while the problem gets worse. Isn’t that the Democrat answer to everything they break?
Cinde may have been a bad girl in 2002, and she can pretend this is old news (not something Democrats allow Republicans to do), but the current opioid crisis is real and includes assaults, robberies, rapes, child rape, and the murder of people who never touched the drugs. Warmington’s problem is Craig’s problem is the activist initiating the smears problem. This issue belongs on the back of every Democrat candidate, elected official, bureaucrat, and voter who aids and abets it.
And is it most definitely Tsarina Kamala Harris’s problem and that of everyone who supports her - it has been deliberate and defended, and millions of people are suffering as a result and not just from drug addiction or the fallout that often follows an overdose death. Democrats own this, need to be seen as owning it, and as having no solution - all of which is 100% true. No hyperbole is necessary.
The facts are damning, and there ought to be no escape, and there won’t be one unless we give it to them.
>why is it that New Hampshire families are struggling with substance use disorders? Democrats, of course.
Did Democrats start, and carry out, the War on Drugs? (You know, the one that made it incredibly lucrative to sell drugs on the black market, and incredibly difficult for people -- especially kids -- to learn how to use drugs responsibly.) Because whichever party did that is responsible for the problems we have now.
Unless she worked in the mail room, any connection to Purdue should be enough grounds to disqualify her from running for any government office. Unfortunately most of the world is wrapped up in pharma's pocket, so what difference does it make if a few thousand people died from the products they pushed, or a few million, there's plenty of ad (*cough* propaganda *cough*) money to go around for everyone.
