Know Someone with DOGE Derangement Syndrome (DDS)?

We May Have Found a Cure - Though I Can't Say They'll Much Like It.

We are all familiar with the more common TDS. Trump Derangement Syndrome afflicts friends (probably former, at this point), family, co-workers, and even randos in the line at Starbucks (I’m guessing I don’t go to Starbucks), but that feels right. And until November of 2024, you had to have thick skin to wear a MAGA hat in public outside the safe spaces - Trump rallies (or Republican events after Trump won the nomination).

TDS symptoms included ranting, raging, hating, and a persistent urge to share things the afflicted had been told were facts but were lies. The “illness” continues, and after JD Vance rhetorically nuked Europe from orbit - alongside Trump’s 90-minute call with Putin and 10-minute chat with Zelenskyy (to start the peace talks without the rest of NTAO) - much of Europe’s elites are showing widespread contagion they were trying to hide (at least a little bit).

NATO doesn’t want peace. They want the vast mineral wealth of eastern Ukraine and Western Russia, but that’s a screed for another day.

Back on this side of “The Pond,” the deployment of DOGE and the abundance of daily updates exposing the Yuge! amounts of waste, fraud, and abuse have the usual suspects losing their minds. How Dare You perform a forensic audit on every government agency?

Well, how about because Barry Obama and Joe Biden thought it was a great idea.

The fact they didn’t do it and made the waste fraud and abuse worse - Joe’s family got sinkin’ rich from it - is no reason not to take them at their word and do the job they promised needed doing.

You may still have to deal with DOGE-related insanity. It is unconstitutional (It’s not), Unethical (sorry, no), violates privacy (not the way Democrats have), and so on, all at volume 11 previously reserved for Spinal Tap.

They’ve got DDS. DOGE Derangement Syndrome. MSNBC, CNN, NBC, the NYT WashPO, and the rest of the handmaiden media are telling them these things are true, but they are just as much a lie as all the previous lies they told, the ones keeping the TDS afflicted suffering from climate anxiety, lining up for their booster, wearing masks, and the rest of it.

We hope the comforting words of Barry and Joe will provide them with the much-needed path to recovery—an easy exit from the box canyon of systemic establishment fibbery that keeps them up at night.
