The Democrats Are Preparing for War
Don't let the current calm fool you.
One of the many excellent contributors to my political blog made a critically important observation yesterday. In a post titled, Will The Democrats Learn Anything (referring to their electoral beating), Auntie Vaquser noted that,
The absence of riots and outrage from the party of almost peaceful protests is not a sign of acceptance.
They are sharpening their long knives. …
They lost one election, but the revolution never ends, so color me skeptical about this.
The “this,” is an opinion piece by Jim Geraghty (National Review) in which he suggests that the Dems progressive wokeism will never be the same.
The electorate — not just straight white males — doesn’t want their brand of deeply divisive identity politics, deliberate conflation of legal immigration and illegal immigration, policies that reflexively recommend and enact permanent bodily changes for teenagers questioning their gender identity, and basically the entire agenda of the 2019 Kamala Harris presidential campaign.

To get to the point, Democrats aren’t learning any lessons.
Killing babies and neutering children isn’t a hobby you give up like Book Club (or National Review); it advances an agenda, as does letting men in women’s bathrooms or allowing them to play on girls’ sports teams. The deliberate tribalism, race-pimping, censoring of people, and silencing of speech. Those open borders, that forced monetary inflation, and death by energy suicide are part of the plan. Break everything.
This morning, the oft-cited (on this Substack), Jeff Childers, agrees.
Could this week have possibly been any better? Let’s take another day to enjoy the sweet juices of victory (or words to that effect). Then let’s start preparing for the left’s inevitable response.
Childers reviews the transition narratives, which he rightly translates as the onramp to what they are planning.
This stage is very short. Before very much longer, all this faux humility and promising to learn important lessons will evolve into the same tired mantra: We TRIED to get along with Trump but HE made it impossible!
The silly notion that the Democrats would undertake self-reflection, course correction, and de-woke their politics is laughable. Don’t be ridiculous. The modern Democrat party has no reverse gear. Partisan Democrats are Thelma and Louise. They’re going forward, not backward. ..
The Democrat Party will inevitably conclude that: we didn’t sell our message well enough to overcome the disinformation in rightwing media. We need to do it faster and harder.
They are both 100% correct.
The domestic terror campaign is being organized. Activists, politicians, the media (also activists), and the money people are or will have to compare notes, come up with a strategy, and get ready to deploy it. What is it?
Back to Auntie V.
They lost one election, and there’s another one in two years (despite the progressive rhetoric). They’ll do everything they can to sabotage efforts to undermine (Republican) successes and then lie or cheat to get back in power, so their agenda continues. Make America Weak Again. Break it, wreck it, drive it like a rental car into the ash heap of history. They will not stop until it is dead, and the only possible reason to abandon any of the insane crap they’ve promoted to date is something crazier appears more likely to get the job done.
The only learning going on is from the right, and what that looks like will become evident when the Democrats unleash their latest broadsides, whatever they may be. The goal is the same. Wreck America, no matter what, and us with it.
Childers advises what we’ve always advocated. Something similar is on the cover of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Don’t Panic.
I would add, to remain focused, stick to your principles, take notes (and lots of screen grabs of their social media), and ridicule them mercilessly and often (they can’t handle it). And remember, like The Force, the second amendment is for defense, never attack.
The Dems will be Dems. We all know what that looks like. We know it’s coming. The drive toward tyranny at any cost.
The Founders understood it. They tried to create a government to slow their roll, but here we are hoping the Electorate has, itself, learned a lesson. That it will take more than two or four years to reverse any of that. This means keeping the lefties as far from the levers as possible for as long as possible while holding the Republicans to account and to their promises.
You have to do both, and not just on election day. Every day.
Every day.
And whatever you do, don’t become them. Do not wallow in anger and resentment. Be a happy warrior.

Agreed. There was an anti-Trump protest in Chicago, and the rhetoric was anything but peaceful.
