In keeping with the fiscal housecleaning theme underway here and across the fruited plain - by which I mean the mapping of Federal Agency payment systems - let’s continue the ridicule of Democrats who are showing America what truly matters to them.
To summarize the problem as they see it, we shall consult Gilbert Huph, the head of Insuricare, from the movie The Incredibles, as he is reprimanding Bob Parr, whose customers seem to know things they should not.
Gilbert is Not happy, Bob. Not happy. The perfect response to which is (in our context) , ‘I don’t really care, Margaret.’ But I have to be honest. I do care, sort of, kind of, and maybe. Perhaps care is the wrong word. What I mean to say is what I always say when Democrats want to insert themselves into any conversation. Keep talking. You’re just making my point. And when it comes to the mapping of payment systems and disbursements by the DOGE gang, what they’ve uncovered strikes most Americans as something one should neither defend nor be proud.
And yet they can’t help but object.
I “penned" a piece to that end for the political blog the other day because my state’s newest member of Congress, long-time deep-state stooge Maggie Goodlander, expressed some concern about how New Hampshire families will be impacted. Fruit, as they say, can’t hang much lower, so I picked it and proceeded to list things New Hampshire families paid for (uncovered by DOGE) and wondered why anyone would stand against uncovering it and stopping it.
America voted to end exactly that, yet here you are pretending that what they want is bad for them, which makes you look exactly like the portrait of these elitists they kicked to the political curb on November 5th, 2024 (excluding yourself and a few others).
It boggles the mind when you consider that these Democrats still think they are the smartest people in any room. All of this frivolous spending is driving inflation - the not-so-hidden tax on everything. It got so out of hand under Joe Biden that people of color refused to vote for a woman of color because she was the mini-me who was going to keep that train rolling. The train DOGE stopped over at USAID. The one they are investigating at Treasury, DHS, DOD, and others.
The unending trail of waste, fraud, and abuse. The DOGE clock, if accurate, has so far uncovered nearly 80 billion in unnecessary or wasteful expenditures.
But Democrats are defending it, and what else would they do? Government is about laundering your tax dollars to favored interests, and DOGE keeps finding and closing laundromats while Democrats and their handmaiden media allies, from the well-known and long-served (as mentioned here) to freshman members of Congress a few weeks into their new gig, are living up to expectations.
Victor Davis Hanson has described it as a slow-motion suicide.
Already unpopular and reeling from the absence of real leadership, political power, or influence, they have chosen to defend grotesque examples of waste, fraud, and abuse as a hill to die on—while not choosing to die on other cultural hills equally under assault—issues that are not even popular with the nation as a whole.
Take a quick listen.
They’re penetrating the bureaucracy!
And as VDH points out, there is nothing odd, unusual, or even exceptional regarding presidents having “experts” in positions of authority to help manage or run some facet of the Federal Government.
And he doesn’t mention it, but Barack Obama added an entire layer of appointments - Tsars - who were brought in because the know-nothing Freshman US Senator turned elected president didn’t know shit about anything, a problem exacerbated by the deep-state lifers with which he surrounded himself, many of whom were the same people that ran America, via the Biden Administration, into the ground.
Obama’s tenure featured an economic malaise sold to America as the new normal until Donald Trump proved them so very wrong. Trump 1.0, while plagued with interlopers and defenders of the swamp, still managed to create the beginning of an economic golden age undermined by the COVID “pandemic,” whose research was secretly funded at least in part by USAID - knowledge hidden until DOGE made it public.
Trump 2.0 isn’t fooling around, and the Dems can file all the lawsuits they want. The money trail and what it was spent on is going public, and at some point, they may realize that 2026 will be at least as bad as 2024 if they can’t find something to stand up for other than sex changes in Guatemala or irrigation projects for the Taliban.
They will keep defending what they have done, because if they won't admit they are wrong. All of them!
Steve, according to a prominent Fox News commentator and former 8 year Republican member of the House of Representatived, the Republicans are as much at fault as the Demolitioncrats.
