Who But a God, Is Capable of Destroying a Planet
This is my first Substack post of the New Year, and I hope everyone had an excellent year-end. However you celebrate, I’m Christmas-New Year. You might be Hanukkah or the one created by the violent, deranged, radical black nationalist (and alleged FBI Informant).

Fourteen years ago, over at the political blog, I chimed in the season by leading with this.
Happy Christmakwanzukkah? How about Yule or Saturnalia? Whatever your winter solstice holiday poison may be you can bet your Establishment Clause and his eight tiny ACLU reindeer that the real winners will be the secular humanists and the flying monkey Lawyer-politicians that pull their empty sleigh, craven acolytes of the void, committed to pressuring anyone who does not agree with them until they submit.
There is no end of good material from the materialists, about whom I almost always find a segue to the climate change cult. You can’t leave that belief system out (it has way more believers than Kwanzaa). It’s yuge, and they celebrate year-round. And if you believe in climate change, you can live in constant fear - year round - that others will not diminish their lifestyles as tithing in fealty to its false god.
It's a genuine US vs. THEM thing. We must give up more of our incomes and comforts so they don’t have to, and the new year brings news.
With the ink barely dry in 2024, local media are advertising how my state experienced its warmest year on record. It wasn’t that warm, mind you. The average annual temp is still 49.x degrees, but a few days later, I tripped over a story about how it was Vermont’s warmest year on record. Being neighbors and such, well, of course, but you don’t have to live in either state to sense the media disturbance in the climate force. The stupid one that surrounds climate cultists. “It is an energy field created by all climate believers. It surrounds them and penetrates them; it binds the idiots together.
Like Bran in your large bowel. WARMEST WARMING WARMNESS! And yet, they stopped calling it global warming because it wasn’t about that. Right.
The loons will cite this declaration without referencing the relevance of the Hunga Tonga underwater eruption, which explains any new warming. No, it’s the man-made apocalypse. They can’t be allowed to cite any other evidence because the grant money must flow. Many billions shall be wasted on a science that isn’t a science. It is an exercise in money laundering led by a Lower GI Joe that the DOGE enema must work hard to clean out.
They won't give up easily, the cult, but there may be a sliver of hope. Much the way Donald Trump’s election granted permission for companies to back away from DEI “programs,” A recent article in the Atlantic has allowed “scientists” to admit that the computer models have not predicted what we’ve been seeing.
Thank you, Captain Obvious. But the bloom is not yet off the rose—too much money and influence in play. So we get “Warmest on record” without any context. We’re missing 4.6 billion years (give or take) worth of climate data to accurately understand what any of it means and what part we play. We know liberal cities create concrete heat islands. There is also evidence that northern Greenland was once covered with Arboreal forests, suggesting that Vermont, New Hampshire, anywhere in the continental US, or most of the globe was hotter without cities or human fossil fuel goodness.
We know, but we don’t know, but last year was [blanks] the warmest on record. Okay, let me offer a graphic demonstration of the scientific value of that.
Here are roughly 4.5 to 4.6 billion years of Earth's geologic history, during which we had lots of climate change. I added a smudge to represent “on record,” with the clarification that it is not to scale. The smudge is enormous compared to reality, a fact the climate cultists should excuse, given how hyperbolic and wrong they are about everything (blame the models). That smudge would be invisible if it were the correct size because “the record” is a very tiny thing.
We do have tree rings and ice cores and other exercises that tell us that the Earth is much calmer and temperate now than for most of its existence, and that’s probably why humans managed to stay alive long enough to take over the planet long enough to suggest this was bad for future weather.
A barely visible spec on a world of systems that no one fully comprehends. It is why the models have never predicted anything short of the stopped clock theory. victim of the absence of numerous critical variables and, perhaps, the partisan manner of the design. They discover what is expected or desired, not what is true.
The state just experienced its warmest year on record, a drop in the ocean, a single mote in a whirlwind of dust.

Climate cultism is an idea built on the understanding that people who have been bullied out of believing in God can be convinced they are god. And who but a god is capable of destroying a planet? A false god who might fix it by demanding sacrifice from others.
