I agree with this article. The over-building scam is never going to create anything but more traffic and higher density and crowded everything. You need quality of life, and if we were not giving away housing to illegal immigrants and Aliens, then we would have more than enough for our own citizens.
You say "new construction isn’t going to create more affordable housing" as though it is obviously true, when in fact it is obviously false. Prices are the result of supply and demand. When supply goes up, prices go down.
It should, but where's the proof that it applies to Housing in New Hampshire? I have not seen any. Perhaps you can provide some. We've added a lot of "housing" in my town in the past few years, and a two-bedroom apartment still costs $2300-2750 a month. How many do they have to build until supply finally lowers prices, and at what political cost (which was the point of the article).
Ugh! Keep the state out of it. All towns are different. We have large forest and meadow areas. Not much of a downtown. You have to drive to get to major stores and that is how I like it. New people come here and retire. They want to change everything. We are a one school town. We do not have the resources to support new houses.
